Brad Swope

In 1989, Brad co-founded Swope Design Group with his wife, Ann, and for 30 plus years has served as its Director of Marketing. Prior to that, Brad worked in construction, facility management, and as a special events promoter. In the decade following his graduation from the University of Kentucky, Brad held sales and management positions with the Sam Swope Auto Group. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a graduate of Westport High School.

Brad is also the winner of multiple Kentucky and Indiana state championships in cycling, running, and triathlon; and has on three occasions finished second in the national masters cycling championships. In 1986, Brad (then a recent cancer survivor) raced a bicycle across the hilly, 400-mile width of Kentucky to benefit the American Cancer Society. His record of 21 hours and 38 minutes still stands. In 2022, Brad was elected to the Kentucky Bicycling Hall of Fame.

Brad serves on the board of the Sam Swope Family Foundation and is active in a variety of non-profit organizations. Brad brings this same level of drive, commitment and caring to Swope Design Group and its clients.

Brad is transitioning into retirement, but continues to assist the firm with the acquisition of new business, community outreach, and property management.
